POINTS AND RANKINGS

Welcome to the official web home of the rapidly approaching 2008 ASCE Southeast Student Conference hosted by the University of Central Florida and the Florida Institute of Technology on March 28 - 29, 2008 in sunny Orlando, Florida.

As conference draws closer, we are getting more excited to see what another year will bring - we are traditionally the largest and therefore, most competitive student conference. We have won more national titles than any other conference and this year will be no exception!

Orlando is a large city, home to Disney, Seaworld and vibrant nightlife, so we expect great experiences.

On behalf of the Committee, we look forward to seeing you all soon - so bring your sunblock, shades and game face!

An Open Format Sprint Fun Race will be held at the conclusion of the NCCC Races, time and weather permitting.

  • One heat of up to 5 boats will race and turn on the buoy at 100 meters in a conventional Sprint Race.
  • In the event that more than 5 boats would like to race they will be placed in the outside lanes such that up to 7 boats could race 100 meters without any turns in a straight line sprint.
  • Any style canoe or kayak is allowed to enter with any number of paddlers.
  • All boats which compete in this race must be paddled.
  • All boats must also be buoyant when swamped.
  • All paddlers must be competent swimmers.
  • No race times will be recorded.
This race will NOT be counted towards the concrete canoe race totals. It is just for fun.

LOOKING FOR WORK?

As a bonus for conference participants in addition to the career fair, we will be distributing a resume CD to the sponsoring companies this year. Current sponsors have locations throughout conference areas, so check their websites (under sponsors tab) to see if they have a location near you.
